We are offering an exciting series of theatre classes designed specifically for students ages 12–18.
Participants will:
Build confidence in acting
Learn how to prepare for auditions
Understand proper theatre etiquette
Discover how to become an active and valued member of a community theatre family
👥 Only 12 spots are available, so don’t wait!
All classes will be taught by the fabulous Karen Reynolds, whose experience and passion for theatre make this a wonderful opportunity for young performers of all levels.
1 - The basics - passion, respect, and theatre family. Plus some fun acting "one liners" to get us started.
2 - Preparing for an audition. Work on assigned scenes to perform the next week.
3 - Performing for your peers and receiving feedback
4 - Let's be "Scene"...(More scene work but this time with a scene partner). Working together to make magic on stage!
5 - Dos and Don’ts of videoing an audition and sending it in.
6 - Meeting in the "zoom room" to watch each other's online auditions and receiving feedback.
7 - Knowing yourself. Choosing a scene that's RIGHT for YOU. And prepare to show off your work during one final meeting. You may invite a friend or family to come & watch. We'll have light refreshments and celebrate what you've learned!
8 - Final Meeting - show your stuff and celebrate!
