Wilkes Playmakers Theatre School strives to be able to provide classes to all students in Wilkes and surrounding counties who have a desire to learn and grow through involvement in theatre arts classes. Participation in theatre arts has been linked to increased success in school as well as future careers; however, the sad truth is that nearly 25% of families living in rural Northwest North Carolina fall below the federal poverty guidelines. For these families, affording extras such as theatre arts lessons is not a reality.

 

We ask that you consider making a tax-deductible donation which will assist Wilkes Playmakers in being able to continue tuition assistance to qualified individual students based upon federal poverty guidelines. Donations may be made by check mailed to Wilkes Playmakers Theatre School Committee, PO Box 397, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659 or you may email us at wpeducation@wilkes.net to be invoiced if paying by debit or credit card.
